TechCred: Training Reimbursement Program

Employees and Employers don’t miss this great opportunity upgrade your employee’s skills!

Thanks to the legislature of the State of Ohio a new simplified training program seeking to enhance the in-demand technology skillsets of Ohio’s workers is available for applications in Ohio in the month of October.  The program, TechCred Training Reimbursement Program (“TechCred”), provides a cash reimbursement to employers for the cost of employee training related to technology up to $2,000 per employee and $30,000 per employer. Eligible training also includes existing training programs. This time-sensitive program application opened October 1, 2019, and funding will be based on a competitively scored application.  For Hamilton County less than 20 employers have completed the short application to obtain funding for existing workers to upgrade their skills.

“No matter your industry, technology is having an impact on your business and the nature of your work,” Lt. Governor Jon Husted said in a prepared statement. “TechCred links businesses with the talent they need and provides a path for employees to advance their career. It is a win-win for Ohio.”
